This was awesome. The Oregon zoo decorates every year to create an entire animal world out of lights. And it basically became and excuse for me to walk around taking blurry pictures with my new filter. I loved it. There are also a few shots testing it with portraits, David posed with Tiffany and I think its adorable.

Channi
You've seen a few shots of Channi on a few of our adventures, but I convinced her to model for a mini shoot the other morning on our way to Christmas Mountain. I'd driven by the field a few times and I had really wanted to shoot her and her great leather jacket, it just had the right feel. She did a great job, it was a beautiful morning and she looks stunning against the field. We drove up after and she found the perfect tree which she named "the Dude. This was also the first morning I had playing with the 50mm, 1.8fstop! So there are a few shots in here with that as well.
I love the shadow on her hand!

So there is this amazing thing you can do with a 50mm lens...I've been dying to try ever since I saw the tutorial years ago, really before I really into photography and the biz. But I borrowed my mom's lens finally and got to try, it is so cool! I can't wait to try it for the wedding I have back in Alaska this coming Saturday! Rachel I hope you see this and are just as excited =] Thats my tree in the background by the way, from the Amazing Christmas Mountain farm where I just had my last day working. Post again on that soon.
Thanks David for being a great model.

Lovely Little Henley: The Darling Rachael G
So one of my dear and beautiful friend Rachael has an amazing blog, if you haven't already noticed it on my side bar you should definitely check it out. She's a talented artist, a wonderful writer, and a great model (remember or glitter shoot? yeah she's pretty fantastic). So she just had 500 blog posts and is doing a giveaway, which I would love to win because she makes wonderful things. I have an amazing print by her which I need to post a photo of, and I adore all the things in her apartment. She's basically just awesome! Check out her blog and leave a comment to win her prize!

New Look
I've been thinking about changing my look and my logo for a while. Something just wasn't quite what I wanted and I think I've finally got it down. I found a lovely color palette (thanks to seeds design and my facebook voters). The logo is actually what I've been putting on my paintings for years and I've just fine tuned it a little for my photos. I'm really happy with the way it looks and how my new website is as well. There may be a few more changes but I think it's pretty much how I want it. Let me know what all of you think!

Christmas Mountain!
Last year I was working at Christmas Mountain Choose and Cut and this year I will be back! Except this time I'll also be doing family photographs up on the farm. It's a great place to spend some time at with a gorgeous view, free hot chocolate, and of course you get to find that perfect Christmas tree. Keep checking on here and on facebook for when I will be at the farm, and get dates and times on the Christmas Mountain website and facebook. Hope to see many smiling faces there!
Some shots from this weekend at the farm!

The Bob Girls
A few weeks back I did a shoot of the wonderful and gorgeous Maddie for her model portfolio, and after her shoot went so well we did another this week with her younger sister Sammy. Both are gorgeous, funny, and sweet girls. We had a blast walking in the park, playing in the leaves, and swinging. They are both so full of spunk and I absolutely loved my afternoon with the both of them! Thanks so much Sammy and Maddie!
