Jenae and Geoff

Janae has been a popular face on my blog, but since she has transferred we don't see each other as often. Luckily last weekend I was able to go to Eugene and we spent a bit of time out in the amazing sun with her boyfriend and roommate! It was great fn and like always Janae is a joy to photograph.

More News!

Karen and I are starting an Etsy account! We're calling it bennet. We're just getting started so there isn't much, but here is one of the things we are going to be selling. State pillows! This is my Alaska pillow, a little heart on Palmer. It's all pretty dang exciting.

Nifty Fifty

This is something really amazing. I sent emails out to a lot of you, but I wanted to make sure that I put it up on my blog too. This is Paper Antler. A fabulous photography couple-but I am posting them because of the new project they are working on. It's called Fifty Nifty. The two of them will be every state and photographing a wedding each week. From each wedding they will be donating 1,000$ from each wedding to She Dances, a "non-profit organization whose mission is to provide healing, hope, and a future for girls who are victims of human trafficking". 50 states, 50 weeks, 50 weddings, 50,000 dollars. It's amazing. If you know anyone who is planning on getting married next year send this on! Really get the word out, it's going to be an incredible project.

Flickr

Finally I have a flickr account. My photostream is http://www.flickr.com/photos/catelyntakesphotos
I'm not going to post on there as much as I do here, I think it will be more 'artsy' photographs or ones I'd really like you to view in Lightroom (push L when looking at a picture. I had to learn that as a flickr newbie)

Also! While you're looking at mine, check out Theresa Benedetto's Photostream.
She is almost at the end of her 365 project and she has really done some amazing things yall should look at! It's great to see the improvement in her work in the past year. She's inspired me to do my own 365 project which I will be starting on my birthday!

Lucky Becca

I've had a really productive Christmas Break, and I felt like showing off a bit of the work I've done! My friend Becca seems to have gotten most of the work, she usually gets my originals but having someone want my artwork helps me keep making more =]
This painting is about 2x3ft and entirely done with one half inch flat brush because thats all I have in Alaska!
