My friend Channi and I had another adventure. We both found on our trip to Astoria we both have a strange attraction to graveyards. Having done a previous shoot at a particular graveyard in Beaverton, we decided to take some time to go back and check it out. The weather was perfect. It was bright and sunny, with that perfect cold fall crisp in the air. We had a great time looking at names and examining old photographs and dates. My favorite however was when we almost ran into two deer, a large male with antlers and a small female. They were so close to us, and not really having deer in Alaska I was very excited.
